Founder Jasmine Dunlap has lived her life in side quest mode for so many years. It was all about “Making memories before my time expires in life“ stated by Dunlap. Along the journey she gained so many skills and shared it with the world, which led to Dunlap being tagged in a casting call flyer for actors in 2023 by Keante Smith. She submitted and was cast for the role of Bria in City of Vultures 4. Upon being on set with independent filmmaker Marcus Carothers she got to experience something she had always dreamed; to film an action scene. She had never done this before but Carothers believed she could do it. That lit a flame within her to pursue acting as a career instead of a hobby, with the hopes of being cast for a role in an action film one day. Yet while building her portfolio she lost sight of that goal. She then came up with a demo video idea for her actors access account. Dunlap stated “Somehow it reflected a music video with choreographed movement instead of a movie scene highlighting my dance ability.“ This led to the creation of Dun 4 Camera Productions; a way to show she had what it takes to be the lead girl in her favorite artists music videos. “I’ve always known I was good at telling stories to music because of my vivid imagination. I created a couple visuals in the past as a way to tell pieces of my life story without verbally saying it. But the first Dun 4 Camera Productions demo video let me know I had EXACTLY what it took to be the leading girl. So I did a few more until the day could come.“ And Dunlap’s day indeed came. She got the opportunity to direct, produce, and star in Amari Noelle‘s - Nasty music video.
Although everything she has done on her journey has been soul fulfilling, nothing ever stuck to her as a career choice, more like scratching things off a bucket list. She took the time to sit back and ask herself “Who am I, what do I really like to do, and what is my purpose?” During the conversation with herself, she remembered her hospitality approach for all members involved in the Nasty music video. Her goal was to make everyone feel valued and seen because during her journey in the entertainment business there were two things she kept noticing were missing; generosity and hospitality. It soon clicked to her that she should create a signature unforgettable hospitality experience for talent, crew, and guest. which led to the rebrand of Dun 4 Camera in 2026.
